Over the years I made many edits for Maki!

But why her?

Like I said, I already had my eyes on her when I started playing. Looks aren't everything but well, love at first sight starts like that! Even initial cards like her Natsuiro Egao de 1, 2, Jump! one (which made me set her as my best girl) are beautiful! Her soft red hair matches so well with her vibrant intense purple eyes!

Her talent is breathtaking! Aishiteru Banzai is such a beautiful song! She's been playing the piano and perfecting her skills since a very young age and that shows!

If you never read her School Idol Diary, (click to read!) you should! It tells her story and showcases her personality so much better! In the anime, she's just portrayed as cold and a "tsundere". In the diary, we learn that her parents force her to study extremely hard so she can become a doctor just like them. She tells that she found her passion for the piano right when she was very little, even before starting kindergarten.
Right when she was on her first grade of school she had her first piano recital and she ended up second place! She was so so excited! But soon that faded away since her father dismissed it, saying that she should focus on studies

And then she met μ’s and her world changed! She learned how important it is to do what you want and be yourself!
One time, she got a 68 on a test, being the lowest grade she ever had which made her dad really disappointed. She lashed out on him for being so demanding and went straight to her room. And you know what she did?

"So I decide to turn on my PC and watch one of μ's's music videos.
Did you know? Even when I'm feeling down, I start feeling better whenever I watch μ's dancing with all we've got in our music videos."

Later, her dad found out she was part of a school idol group and assumed that was what made her sloppy at school, forcing her to quit the group.
She was scared because that was the first time she was doing something she actually wanted to, and not just following orders, being someone she doesn't want to.

"Of course, he also made me promise to study properly from now on, but I was happy that he acknowledged μ's, and... I'm proud to have you all as friends.

Our story goes back to 4 years ago and I hope it goes on for many many more.
I regret deleting my old twitter account, it had so many memories with her but they're forever locked in my heart and it's open for many many more!
She's helped me though so much, it's amazing how much she means to me!
Last year, right around her birthday I was feeling really down, dull, numb and apathetic but, believe it or not, as soon as her birthday arrived, seeing all the fanart and being able to post my special birthday letter, made me feel so much better! It had been so long since I felt actual excitement and happiness but like a shining star, Maki brought it back to my life!
I'll never be able to express what I feel, nothing ever feels enough
This is is the fifth time I'm celebrating her birthday and I wanted to do something different and special and I hope it worked!
